Vendor Guide: How to List Your Product for Rental

Welcome to 3DRENThub! This guide will walk you through how to list your product correctly.

Before You Begin

Start by filling in the General tab and clicking Save. Only after saving will the other tabs appear: Shipping properties, Features, Variations, Rental, and others.

Go tab-by-tab and refer to the instructions below:

General Tab

  1. Categories: Choose the correct category to help renters find your product.
  2. Price & Price/Day (up to 6 days): Set both to the same number (e.g., $850 and $850/day).
  3. Autocalculate Rental Price: Check this box to automatically apply a 5% discount per day for rentals of 7–29 days, and 10% for 30+ days.
  4. Deposit Amount: If you (the vendor) have rental insurance and do not require the renter to have or purchase their own, the deposit should match your policy's deductible.

Shipping Properties Tab

  1. Weight: in (lb)
  2. Items in a box: Use 1 – 1
  3. Box Dimensions: If unsure, use 10 x 10 x 10 as a placeholder. Update when actual dimensions are known.
  4. Multiple Boxes: Click Add another box if the item ships in more than one.

Features Tab

This is where key info like Replacement Value, Brand, and Minimum Rental Period are stored.

→ Fill in features based on 3DRENThub requirements.

Variations Tab

Use Variations if your product comes in multiple fixed configurations (e.g., Arm | Arm with LLP | Arm with LLP with PC) with different pricing, shipping  properties and Replacement Value.

  • Each variation represents a specific configuration of the same physical unit. You control pricing, shipping properties, Replacement Value and images/descriptions.

Rental Tab

Set rental availability rules:

  • Blackout Dates Before Rental Period: These allow time for vendor prep and shipping. They are auto-blocked after booking.
  • Blackout Dates After Rental Period: These cover return shipping, handling, and possible shipping to the next renter. Also auto-blocked.
  • Minimum Rental Period: Must match the value set under the Features tab. These are not auto-synced, so keep them identical manually.
  • Add periods when product is not available for rent

You’re all set! After you complete each tab, click Save. Double-check each section before publishing.
